How I wish I’d had the self-awareness, confidence, and joy I have now when I was in my twenties and thirties.
So much of life is wasted on worry, regret, pain, and heartache. Of course, some of this is inevitable and necessary. But I spent too many of my younger days sweating over things that really didn’t matter.
“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”
I suppose “Life Lessons” are called that for a reason. You need to experience life in order to learn the lessons. And the more life you experience, the more lessons you accumulate. I am turning 41 on Friday so I decided to share the top 41 lessons I’ve learned on my journey so far.

I love this list. As I was reading over your list, I kept thinking “Oh! I could mention this one or that one.”
It turns out, they are ALL very good things to keep in mind day to day.
I guess, if I had to pick one favorite for myself, it would be Don’t Compare Your Life To Others.
I say this because, especially since entering the blogging community, it can be hard to not compare myself to others. My blogging journey vs their blogging journey and everything that comes with that.
Everyone’s journey is different and that’s something I have to constantly remind myself of.
Thank you so much for sharing this on my Twitter outreach post!

You know you shouldn’t compare yourself to others. Yet, that’s often easier said than done. Comparing ourselves to others often leaves us feeling frustrated, anxious, and paralysed about moving forward. It doesn’t help one single bit in creating the life we want. Instead, it just takes away valuable time and energy that could have been spent on building our future.
These are all great life quotes but my favorite is “It’s never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else” aka don’t let anyone control your happiness but yourself
Thank you. I love that quote too. As you grow older you begin to realise that nothing really matters if you are not happy. In addition, you learn that happiness is a choice.
