It is great to strive to be fashionable, however, it is unfortunately not always the most realistic option with the busyness of life. There are restrictions on your clothing choices as it is important that your fashion options match up to your daily lifestyle. You have an extremely hectic routine and cannot be hindered by high heels and cumbersome clothing.
This does not mean, however, that you have to sacrifice your fashion for comfort and durability. There are many places that give you selections for the perfect clothing items. You need something that you can run around in and complete errands while looking put together. All you need is a little help getting started on your journey to being a true fashionista. Here are some tips for dressing comfy and stylish:
White T-Shirt
What white t-shirts offer you is the comfort as well as versatility. The cotton material is super breathable and perfect for summer months. It can also be worn with pretty much anything to create a variety of effects. You can pair it with boyfriend jeans for a cool, grungy look or with black trousers for a little more glamour. This t-shirt also works well with skirts too. You can wear it with a maxi skirt for an added comfy factor.
Flats
These shoes are ideal if you are going to spend the day running errands. Your feet will not hurt at the end of the day and you will still look cute. The added bonus of these shoes is that they essentially go with everything. They are also a more feminine approach to trainers. You can opt for the staple black or choose one with a little bit more embellishment for a more fun look. It is always handy to have a few different types that you can switch out with whenever you head to a different venue.
Blazer
The blazer has traditionally been worn as a part of a suit, as office wear. The last few years, however, has seen the boxy blazer move to the streets as well. It now has been embraced as more casual wear but is definitely an important part of your closet. This is because it instantly adds a touch of chicness to your outfit. You can throw it on top of your white t-shirt and jeans or joggers combo or even pair it with a dress if you like.
Loungewear
Never before has it been so fashionable to relax. Or make our lives appear that way on Instagram through #weekendgoals, should that be your weird flex. This whole philosophy of ‘slow living’ – mindfulness, being still and in the moment – is seeing women chill more, recuperate after a long day at work and even spend the odd Saturday night in, lounging about on the couch. And because fashion is a mouthpiece for current cultural trends, luxury brands are turning their hands to louche lounging too, crafting well-designed garments for simply laying around the house.
As much as I love soft and comfy loungewear set like a bottom & top, I do love my dresses equally much, and a current favourite is this black midi dress by I SAW IT FIRST.
Scarves
A scarf can add a pop of colour to your outfits. This is why you should always have a handy collection of scarves around. There is no such thing as too many scarves. If you are about to step out the door and just do not feel as though your outfit has that it factor, don a scarf. Simply wind a colourful scarf around your neck and you are good to go. Infinity scarves are an especially fun addition.
You deserve to look your best no matter what it is that you are doing.
